Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take a full mouth series of X-rays, for proper diagnosis of proximal decay and bone levels, of all existing teeth.

Yearly Oral Cancer Screenings using VELscope
The VELscope is the most powerful tool available for assisting in the discovery of oral abnormalities. The VELscope’s distinctive blue-spectrum light causes the soft tissues of the mouth to naturally fluoresce. Healthy tissues fluoresce in distinctive patterns — patterns that are visibly disrupted by trauma or disease. Using the VELscope, a wide variety of oral abnormalities can be discovered — often before they’re visible to the unassisted eye.
Discovering soft tissue abnormalities is particularly important in the fight against oral cancer. Because the VELscope Vx assists in early detection, cancer can be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives through less invasive, more effective treatment.
Insurance & Billing
We accept all traditional insurance plans and most PPO plans. Unfortunately we don’t participate in HMO’s, Medicaid or Medicare. As long as you can choose your own dentist, you can use your insurance in our office. Please contact us to verify acceptance of your plan. Payment is requested when services are rendered. For insurance patients we do accept assignment of benefits, however any deductibles and estimated co-payments are due at time of visit. For larger treatment plans, flexible payment plans can be arranged with our front office staff.
